iOS 18 supports dual language keyboards. So no more need to have multiple keyboards active, making it easier to switch between keyboard and emoji picker šŸŽ‰
I reported this as a feature request, great that it got added!

@nmann @viticci is it limited to 2 languages? Iā€˜d need 3ish for daily use.

Also, which language does the keyboard report to the active app? Ivory for example will preselect the keyboardā€™s language as the post language, what does it select when using a multi-language keyboard?

@thegcat yes seems to be the case sadly. Settings says I can add up to two languages to the keyboard (I donā€™t know if I can even edit them at the moment)

@thegcat regarding the languages. Thatā€™s super weird. If I create a new post, it shows DE (German), but now that I answer to yours, it shows EN. Could be due to your name being prefilled. Iā€™d expect the first of the two languages as default
