Yesterday was a cast-on party, after 8 months spent knitting my Shetland cardigan.

Second project started. Using single balls of Shetland yarn, with Ouessant wool, to experiment with the Paul Klee Sweater. As it happens, it resembles his painting ‘Blue Night’ (1937).

Pattern: Paul Klee Sweater (Midori Hirose)

Yarn: Jamieson's of Shetland Shetland Spindrift & Bouclelaine Ouessant

Left: yoke following the Paul Klee Sweater pattern (Midori Hirose)

Right: yoke following the Peeta pattern (Nadia Crétin-Léchenne)

Edit: Midori Hirose's pattern calls for a higher neckline, so the loose neckline is partly my fault. The construction of a jumper with a yoke is complicated, in order to avoid an impractical jumper and unintentional penguin arms.

@MarieVC quelles sublimes couleurs

@MarieVC

Oh wow, I live that pattern, and the colours you choose are really beautiful!

@nobyeni The pattern is extremely detailed, each step is very clear. I need to make a few adjustments, because I don't like yokes that restrict movement, so the pattern helps me know where to make the adjustments.
@MarieVC That's a wonderful piece of knitting.
