LOL, it just gets better and better with Adobe. This is late-stage enshittification.

They've apparently run out of "AI" training data and now want access to every user's personal data for their AI.

If you don't accept the new TOS, you can't even get support or uninstall the software.

Adobe can go f**k itself. There are alternatives. I've switched to Affinity + other software - yes, it can be tricky. But better than continuing to use Adobe.

Change to Adobe terms & conditions outrages many professionals - 9to5Mac

Update: Adobe has now clarified the meaning and intent. A change to Adobe terms & conditions for apps like Photoshop...

9to5Mac

@naturesketchbook Just to make this sure: are we talking about the TOS from Feb 17, accessible at https://www.adobe.com/legal/terms.html#content?

Why is this a problem now and not in February?

Also, at https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/machine-learning-faq.html there is (as of now) given a way to opt out of at least some analytics.

Of course, this still is a no go, both privately and in business. Let this be another(?) giant falling because of their enshittification.

Adobe Legal Terms

@jesterchen @naturesketchbook It is a problem now because nobody bothered to read the changes to the TOS in February but now you have to press a button on a dialog box that tells you about changes to the TOS.

IMHO the culprit is that you have to opt-out of using your data for machine learning. This should be opt-in according to GDPR principles.

The rest is the usual legal gobbledygook in order to provide cloud services.
