I finally finished my new video and set it to “Premiere” tonight at 9:15! Watch with me if you like. And speaking of Premiere, my Pro tip for you is: Do not install the new version of Premiere Pro while you are knee-deep in a 1000+ edit project!

@tom7 yes! that's at 3:15 AM in my time zone, but I'm tempted to rough it out

(I will not, because being an adult is boring)

@grapefrukt I am sorry for timezones 😔. But grapeful for your enthusiasm!
@tom7 i had a very good time, thank you muchly
@tom7 oh no. hope you didn’t lose too much video work 😰
@aismallard I didn’t actually lose anything except for my precious life force! But what was I thinking??
@tom7 another banger, tom, you're an inspiration to aspiring computer clowns everywhere
@BestGirlGrace :grateful clown with sunglasses emoji:

Outstanding, funny, pun-filled & informative video by @tom7 about using LLMs to perform typographical alignment on documents

Sums up my thoughts on AI/LLMs perfectly with "personally I find this stuff to be simultaneously distressing and fascinating"

@tom7 this might be the most useful thing you’ve ever done.
@tom7 Could you use an LLM and beam search to find one of those mnemonics that has the same number of letters in each word as the digits of π?
@OscarCunningham Definitely! It’s pretty similar to what @david is doing with acronyms for acronyms.net too
@tom7 @OscarCunningham maybe you mean "acronym's.net"? (but for real, the URL is https://acronymy.net )
Acronymy

@david @OscarCunningham ugh, I think that was an autocorrect failure! :(

@tom7 <replyguy> Actually I think you'll find BoVex is pronounced BoVeKh. </replyguy>
@tom7 Your bibliography in your paper upsets me greatly. Thank you!
@noodlez1232 @tom7 yes this is some alphatroll shit
@tom7 another tom7 banger

@tom7 OMG <3

paper.bovex:1037

```
it hyphenates SIG[box {(Box)
glue-break-penalty = -100000.0,
width = 0.0 } [-]]BOVIK
correctly.
```

@tom7 I found a bug in the paper. The clickable pdf hyperlink for the Gamespot Super Metroid citation is truncated at the line break. As a result it leads to the URL prefix that the first line. I hope this annoys you . <3
@chromosundrift Thank you for trying to find errors to annoy me, but this has gotta be a problem with your PDF viewer guessing that this is a link and not being smart enough to see that it spans multiple lines. The paper does not create hyperlinks for the bibliography. (There is a TODO in cite.bovex!) 😎
@tom7 I predict that this will be very useful; an actual use case for LLMs! Might it in fact be even better UX if the font itself is the LLM? https://mastodon.social/@fuglede/112665831078180466
@fuglede Good work! I had thought of compiling the whole paper and inference engine to postscript so that your printer could do the work, but somehow ran out of time (and no devices would be able to actually handle such a file). I didn’t know harfbuzz had such complete Turings inside!

I love you tom7! 🤓
