Idea: print a bunch of these as huge stickers, go to the google campus parking lot, and stick it to the windshield of a bunch of parked cars.
@brunoph That shit is everywhere. I loathe it.
@brunoph I hit this yesterday just trying to read a flipping story. A sentence isn’t even visible!
@MuseumShuffle On mobile it's the absolute worst experience. The web stinks now.

@javier @MuseumShuffle if you dig into your Google account settings you CAN turn it off. High PITA* factor but possible!

@Verso Only if you’re okay with having cookies right?
@brandonbutler I don't know, I've just seen it shared that you can disable that feature.
@brunoph I wish there was a way of getting rid of that thing for good.

@arroz @brunoph Stop the Madness Pro extension can help:
«Hide some banners: Hides "Sign in with Google" banners on all websites, the YouTube Premium banner on YouTube, as well as "Google recommends using Chrome" and Google Doodles on Google Search.»

@brunoph Given their stance on protest on their property, I bet Google security would be all over you in minutes 😂

‘Use your Google Account to start this car’ would be great, though. Perhaps one could just do this for every car that depends on Google software, like Android Auto on the Polestars and such.

@brunoph just another byproduct of the hell that is SEO?
@brunoph Google was popular at the start because of their unobtrusive banner ads compared to many others which were flashy and animated which were very annoying. Now Google has become the same.
@brunoph Almost none of the car owners are responsible for this.
@y2mango @brunoph But they sure profit from it. And I was under the impression that many (most?) Google employees have shares and/or options. Is that not correct?

@brunoph Great idea! I block them with uBlock Origin using this custom rule:

||accounts.google.com/gsi/iframe

@brunoph it’s annoying, but you should do this in the Reddit parking lot because they’re the ones who added this code to their site. It’s not like Google is injecting it without Reddit’s knowledge.
@brunoph
Stickers are expensive. Color laser print, dip in water, stick on glass.
