@tante Saw your next post on the same. I have concerns about LLMs, but them blocking understanding is not one. Quite the contrary. They are excellent at letting people get a toehold on subjects that are otherwise hard to approach. Yes, there are accuracy issues but they are in smaller areas as time goes on. And used correctly they still require you to think: about what to ask and how to ask it, and whether you can trust the answer. (Just as with trusting what’s in the media.)
