@leo @Blort I don’t have precise numbers, but from what I’ve heard in conference presentations and looking at the “this month in Servo” posts, it doesn’t look like there’s more than one or maybe two Igalia people working on it full time.

a single threaded application may be better for a pentium 4, but id rather use something multithreaded on my ryzen 7 cpu lol

@Blort we should see governments recognising the importance of core software codebase diversity - key open source codebases like Servo should be treated as crucial digital infrastructure and be funded cooperatively by gov'ts like, for example, national contributions to the UN or NATO, with those funds distributed as grants by an independent (uncaptured-by-corps) council who assess worthiness of #Libre technologies. To be clear, proprietary software should be ineligible to receive such funding.

@Blort ideally such software should only be licensed under a Copyleft license - a weaker license allows it to be 'closed' by proprietary interests, effectively allowing them to exploit the commons for private gain.
