Opened another 500 TestFlight slots for the new Reeder preview (see previous posts). There's still a lot to do but it's slowly getting to a usable state.

@Poilus, il me semble que tu cherchais à tester ;)
@rizzi I’m in! 🤩🤩🤩
@rizzi Whoaa! It’s very good. Can’t wait to see the release 😍
@rizzi Got it 🤗 now… how do I import my feeds from the old non-beta version? 🤔
@fernandomateus @rizzi I wrote them all manually 😓
@deborag @rizzi Damn… I was expecting to be able to avoid that 😕
@rizzi nice! Will it eventually sync with Feedly as well or it’s not made for that?

@eierund @rizzi I don't think it will based on this point in the TestFlight description:

“It does not support third-party RSS services, like for example Feedbin.”

@rizzi it’s very pleasant to use, keep up the fine work 😁
@rizzi Are you planning to add RSS feeds to this app?
@rizzi OPML import, specifically.
@rizzi Just confirming: the plan is to eventually re-add Feedbin support, yeah? I’m somewhat locked out until that happens but I’m gonna throw some every day feeds in there and take it for a spin.
@niclake @rizzi the TestFlight notes say no.
@dominic @rizzi I took that as “this beta doesn’t support it” but
@niclake @rizzi nope from his previous messages, it’s not going to be added. It’s a new approach to RSS.
@dominic @rizzi Well shoot. I guess I missed that memo. Thanks.
@rizzi the new design looks good! It's safe to say I'm looking forward to Reeder 6 🥳
@rizzi full within the hour. Must be good 😉
@rizzi man, that filled quick. Hoping to get in the next round. Sounds exciting!
@rizzi beta full already :’-( … It looks like a lot of people are looking forward to testing it :-)

@rizzi Got in this time! 🎉

Added some YouTube feeds to test, but I hope you will implement Feedly support at some point (or at least OPML import).

@rizzi Number 1 request from me for the beta is the ability to import an OPML file from Reeder to get all of my RSS feeds in

Otherwise I’m loving the app!

@rizzi 😳 Too late again for this slot

@rizzi missed it again! 😖

Can't wait for the release.

@rizzi I hope so much in the OPML import and in the possibility of reporting and recognizing the articles already read “as read”
@rizzi Dang I missed it
@matthewcassinelli @rizzi Same here. And I guess we’re still waiting on the beta for the “new” app, right?
@rizzi I always miss it! Going to be diligent for the next one lol
@rizzi ai was about to buy th current Reeder version today. I guess I will wait until the new one is out.
@rizzi oh, by the way, I tried following this account ages ago but it looks like you need to manually approve followers? This way I missed this (and many others) announcement 😕
@rizzi missed it again, damn! Reeder, the one app that is used every single day without fail and always brings joy!

@rizzi must say that I bristled initially, but I love that you’re trying something new. I’ve had similar reactions to things I’ve come to love - you’re certainly on to something.

If the plan is to move to iCloud, then I won’t be able to live without filters (Ivory’s, Feebin’s).

The media sections, especially podcasts, aren’t clicking for me. I get that it’s also RSS, but I’m not sure if the content fits… I’ll keep trying.

Airshow is a great re-thinking of audio feeds if you’ve not seen it.

@rizzi keeping with your abstraction theme, it would be nice to set content types rather than rely on predetermined ones.

For example, YouTube works fantastically, but other video sites serving similar feeds show up under Feeds and don’t have the same functionality. It would be nice to set any feed as video - whether it’s a video site, video podcast feed, or something else entirely - then present the main video similarly to YouTube.

Same for audio I’d guess.

That’d be better for the open web.

@rizzi I didn't realise how much I wanted this until I tried it. Already a good user experience. Can't wait for the final version.
@rizzi Sounds awesome. Late to the party but hopefully more slots open in the future.
