It took less than 2 days to:

1. Download to a stick & install Linux on what was a Windows boot drive.

1.a. Configure the above.

2. Download and build UE 5.4.1.

3. Build all Marketplace plugins for Linux, correcting their bugs.

4. Copy the 5.3.2 game and build it for 5.4.1, correcting my bugs.

5. Start the editor with the game as its target.

6. Build Derived Data cache, correcting errors.

7. Run the game and do some grinding.

Whee! 😎 🤘

@steter they do have precompiled engine binaries at https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/linux

Unreal Engine
@fractalus I know. I have one. I prefer to build the source. There are some mods you can make to it that get compiled in. I have 5.3.2's binary for Linux. The editor is up & running.
@steter do you run into issues with asset versioning when using a source build? I tried unreal in linux briefly and all the assets I saved there gave warnings when I tried to load them back in windows (non-source) engine version
@fractalus That should be correctable. I forget how I dealt with it before. I've gone both ways. That day will come eventually with this game, lol.
