@GottaLaff Can women even own property in Louisiana? Opinions vary!
@GottaLaff The fucking state I live in...
@GottaLaff Wonder if we'll see the Federal gov step in here. Drug classification is in theory FDA jurisdiction
@GottaLaff
Note that the logic from the Dobbs decision is a green light to Republican legislatures that they can outlaw ANYTHING that isn't constitutionally protected. What happened in Louisiana will be repeated in other red states. And, it won't be limited just to reproductive rights issues as Republicans will get creative with their legislation.
@JonathanDCope the party of less regulation continues to twist and cherry pick their logic. It is upsetting.
@JonathanDCope @GottaLaff yet if i were to argue that modern ammunition is not protected by the constitution they would easily make an exception saying ā€œwell that’s different.ā€ Well, not really, I didn’t mention muzzle loaders šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
@skoombidoombis @GottaLaff
Unfortunately, you would run up against 2nd Amendment issues.
@skoombidoombis @GottaLaff Our constitutional rights are dynamic; they are subject to change. The 2nd Amendment was a right vested in states, not individuals. Abortion rights were protected under the 10th Amendment and possibly the 14th Amendment. Freedom of speech under the 1st Amendment was not interpreted early in the 20th Century as broadly as today. I would not be surprised to see the 1st Amendment narrowed in scope by SCOTUS.

@GottaLaff so is the Florida version going to be called the Jason Miller law?

Trump Adviser Can’t Sue Over Abortion Pill Story, Panel Rules

An appeals court rejected senior Trump adviser Jason Miller’s $100 million libel lawsuit over a story about claims that he slipped a woman an abortion pill in a smoothie after impregnating her.

@GottaLaff one more state I won’t visit. #BanLouisiana šŸ˜“
@GottaLaff What an assbackwards state.
@GottaLaff I can't process this. It's horrifying. Shared on all my TLs.

@GottaLaff

This is such a great opportunity!!! Pregnant women can now become dealers. Buy a case of pills, make known their address and distribute with impunity.

"Up to Lexington, 125.. I'm, waitin' for my man."

@GottaLaff im embarassed to be a native of this state. You guys think that this is bad? Try living here and seeing it day to day. The shit you see sometimes is insane.
@UnixMan1230 No thanks. I can’t even live in the US anymore.
@GottaLaff Next thing U know Louisiana will be burning women on a cross or drowning them in deep wells, in order to find their secret stash of contraceptives.. .
