So, last Friday I heard about the Bone Caves, and knew with a name like that I had to visit. It's a collection of caves near the village of Elphin, in the north of Scotland. It (originally) had lots of bones - polar bear, reindeer and others. It's reckoned there's 2 miles of caves, but my crappy phone torch and claustrophobia meant I managed around 2 meters exploration.

Reminded me of my favourite Thief mission - Down in the Bonehoard, but without the zombies...

@BrindledCat Huh. Spent a fair bit of time driving past/through Elphin and doing some deliveries there (great tearoom, immaculate kitchen, lovely dog), but had never heard about the caves until now. I like a cave, must check it out.

Yeah, I'm near Inverness so it was about a two hour drive to get there, and another hour or so up a hill to get to the caves, but they're very cool - they narrow pretty quickly and I didn't have the nerve to crawl further in. I think they're a protected ancient site, definitely worth a visit.

Stopped off in Ullapool for chips - wow that place gets a lot of tourists.
