What are these warehouse store things called? Not strip mall but something else? - Lemmy.World

They’re sort of a hybrid between a strip mall and a business park. I see them in some areas. Two stories always, and a very warehousy design.

It’s an industrial park, they usually are more warehouse than storefront but all kinds of businesses use them

Business park or industrial park. Difference is if there are warehouses in the back or not
I think some people call them industrial strata warehouse or strata warehouse

strata warehouse

Yeah possibly. I’m not actually in real estate so couldn’t say for sure. Colloquially, I’ve never heard them called that before

We call them an Outlet Mall

You could also call it a shopping plaza, either in a line or 2 (or possibly 3) sides along its parking lot.

Also bundled with those giant signs that list every store in the plaza.

Hey, that’s near the bowling alley!
I honestly saw three guys mooning the camera at first!
Weird I didn’t, scrolled back, up, and for a split second, did as well lol
Strip park or business strip
Classic strip mall in the us
A Power Strip?

I think a power centre is a generic strip mall.

The thing I photographed is closer to commercial strata warehouse I think.

We call these retail parks in the UK
Rapid climate change inducers
Just an FYI, even if we destroyed every single one of these strip malls across the entire planet, it still would not put a dent on reversing climate change producer output from militaries (USA and China) and industry.
Thanks for the FYI. Yes I know. Destroying ecosystems and habitats for thousands of square miles of this unlimited expansion of development absolutely does not help reverse climate change. Especially as we race towards another catastrophic extinction filter.
Either retail park or industrial estate in the UK, depending on if most of the businesses are retail/shops or not
