Inflation fell in April to 3.4 percent, reverses trend -The Hill

@GottaLaff

Historical perspective:

Economy under Reagan, when he bragged about "Morning in America" in Sept. 1984:

• 7.3% unemployment, 4.3% annual inflation

Economy under Biden today:

• 3.9% unemployment, 3.4% annual inflation

@DemDifference @GottaLaff
I may be misremembering this, but I think it was Reagan who first included gov't employees and the military in the "employed" category. Previously, the employment statistics only described employment in the private sector. Sleight of hand. The unemployment number took a nosedive overnight without a new job in sight.
