@janl The quality of anything in the Star Wars universes is directly proportional to its distance from George Lucas.

I don't know what the equivalent rule is for Star Trek. For a while, it was inversely proportional to distance from Gene Roddenberry but some of the newer things are at least as good as things he was directly involved in.

@david_chisnall I don’t know. Lucas had too much of a hand in episodes I-III. And those movies are really unwatchable. He needs to be balanced out by people that can say no to him.

@CrisLuengo Exactly. The things Lucas was directly involved in are worase then anything he was not. He was, for example, involved in the Star Wars Christmas Special, yet not involved in the Heir to the Empire series of books.
