Enable `browser.urlbar.suggest.calculator` in #Firefox about:config to get a little calculator friend in your URL bar
@annika isn't that enabled by default?
@pinkcreeper100 Maybe for new profiles or something? Both my Mac and my Windows machines had it off, and they use completely separate profiles (no sync)
@annika suppose it depends how long you've had the profile
@pinkcreeper100 @annika it's probably because you use google, which displays calculator results in the autocomplete
@annika underbaked tbh ): hope mozilla will work on it again at some point
@annika It seems like every time you turn around, Firefox adopts another feature from Emacs.
The runner in KDE Plasma do that natively (amongs much more things)
@annika ooh, one of the features (aside from not eating up 14GB of RAM) that I've been missing from Chrome
@annika Also! `browser.urlbar.unitConversion.enabled` will show inline suggested responses to things like "12cm = in"
@annika I needed to know about this. Thank you!
@annika
`browser.urlbar.codeBugFix.enabled`
Will fix all bugs in the code you put in the search bar 🤣
@theslik why don't more programs have this setting??
@annika
Because firefox is unique ! 🤣
@annika holy game changer batman! thanks for the tip!
