- The first time she saw electricity her grandpa took her to his workshop and showed her a device made of translucent material with what looked like a spider in the center. Grandpa put the device in a metal contraption, the spider vibrated and the room was flooded with daylight. In that moment, she realized her aunt's 38 paintings were trying to depict this very sun that now blinded her.
