Finally I get to know what exactly with my first #playdate! As I mentioned long time ago it is one of the first dev-kits. Anyway, there is a trouble with display wire, as I supposed.
Now I know.
You could see there scratches and “line breaks” on its. And yes, this is the end of the display wire. Trying to repair now...
Some results ❤️‍🔥
One road (line) there is less than 0.06mm width. 🫣
This is not the end. Another break in the display wire. In the display. Under the glass. Almost impossible, but my friend can do anything.
Also there’s a little shield fix to ensure that it doesn’t touches and disturbs the fixed wire. 🫣

Hey guys, I suppose this could be interesting for you. That is unit 235. He was very sick and now after the surgery he will live a long and full life!

☝🏻there’s thread.

@playdaters That's insane! What tools were used here? Surely that's not hand soldered..? 😳
@dave Just hands, needle, soldering iron.
@playdaters I had some soldering to do this weekend and tried out a microscope setup, was much better than hunching over a board with goggles on. Thanks for the inspiration!

@dave quoting of my pal:

> Well, in general Dave are partially right, we had a microscope and a soldering station (in a soldering iron) with a thin stinger, plus all sorts of magic, skillful use of flux, copper braid.
> And a lot of time and concentration. Well, and years of practice under my belt.

> The people at the service where they fix laptops marveled at my soldering too.
