#NoMowMay officially begins!🌼

@RSPB I thought it was #NoMowMarch! It has been an uncharacteristically warm start to the year.

As they say, #MoMoweyMoProblems

@RSPB Because neighbours! You know nothing, John Snow!
@RSPB @NuanceRhymesWithOrange I'm hoping to leave some areas unmowed, but April is the new May, and my grass would be waist-high by the end of May.

@RSPB I don't mow at all.

Because I got banned from mowing.

After I accidentally mowed a frog (third row, second square).

@RSPB Don’t forget the lagomorphs that will visit! 🐇
@RSPB if only there was no HOA
@RSPB we have close to 3 acres we haven't mowed in almost a year and the flying bugs are EVERYWHERE
@RSPB Unfortunately, we must mow due to fire prevention. I try to let some islands with big variety untouched.
@RSPB gotta protect it somehow
@RSPB no mowing and definitely no weeding
@RSPB Actually No Mow May has been discredited. Better to mow selectively, leaving patches of wildflowers here and there, rather than no-mow and then slaughter it all in June.

@cecilbothwell
Bit like dry January not really helping you liver that much compared to spreading it through the year in weeks

@RSPB

@RSPB The issue is habitat and pesticides, not mowing. Build habitat and then don't kill the bugs that use it.
@RSPB HOA insists on the former, but I always start the season with the latter until they get threatening. Bees need dandelions!
