Rheinmetall is not putting its money where its mouth is.
Since 2022, the stock price increased almost 770%. Yet its revenue is up by less than 40%. Not exactly what you'd like to see considering russian invasion and all that.
I'm suspecting that Rheinmetall doesn't want to increase its production capacity as fast as it could, in case demand drops again.
How Not To Build A Drone
This is Europe at its absolute worst. I can’t even imagine how it’s possible to spend €8B on a failed drone project.
Europe needs to seriously stop this nonsense. If the money bothers us that much, send it to Ukraine, they know how to deal with innovation.
Last month I visited a European defense conference.
Compared to 2023, the atmosphere seemed more relaxed. People were leaving early. Beers and snacks as usual.
More drones compared to 2023, but otherwise not really more weapons.
What am I missing here? Is the European defence industry really going to sit on its ass again, or will we scale up like we’re supposed to?
