Lost In A Lost World

@Flavigula Incredible, how "Bowie" he sounds at times. Got to admit, that i got out of somehow "operatic" rock music, when New Wave and Punk entered my life :) Still, the complexity, detailed composition and level of so very skilled teamwork to create something as big and balanced like Seventh Sojourn is admirable. Missing this in today's music. May he sail on well.

I was a big fan when I was a teen. I rarely listen to the Moody Blues these days, but once or twice a year have the urge to hear this one, the previous or "To Our Children's Children's Children". They are all elaborate and very detailed albums.

I never made the Pinder-Bowie connection before, though. Amusing.

And you have a good point. "Balanced" is a good adjective for their music. They were true team players during this particular epoch of their existence.

@Flavigula The Bowie connection seemed obvious mostly just in his singing style on the video you linked above. Now listening to the whole album i find it no so much anymore. Notable is also the double drum tracks of this song. Great stuff. Bugs me, that i only start getting into this after Pinder has left to explore the grains of everything.

The different members usually sang the songs they wrote. You probably got that, though. :)

The two Pinder songs are Lost in a Lost World and When I'm a Free Man Again. Both wonderful, in my opinion. Check out "My Song" from Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, as well.

I assume the whole band had a hand in the arrangements of every piece.
