UPS Santa stopped by today with some auction treasures.

First up is Glenmorangie 23 year old "Year of the Rabbit". The first 'Chinese Zodiac' bottle I've managed to grab. Still looking for 'Year of the Tiger' and 'Year of the Dragon'.

I managed to pick up a few Compass Box Whisky bottles. A couple of Hedonism releases, MMXVI-A & MMXVI-B, both from 2016. An old school Orangerie release. And backup bottles of Experimental Grain Whisky and Julio's Liquors bespoke Rivals. They were going for well under value, and my open bottle of Rivals was nearly killed at the recent CB tasting, so I snagged it.

And, for something completely different, Amrut Malt Gurus 2015 seven year Indian Single Rum released through Habitation Velier. I first learned of this from the great Rum Revival channel and I've been watching for it ever since.

@megazone I've gotten into the sipping rum rabbit-hole and the nearby liquor store has a rum-loving employee, so he gets some of the good stuff. My first (and only at the moment) Indian rum he recommended was Camikara Rum, 12yo cask aged (https://www.camikara.com/rum-detail-12.html). He loves it and says it is a good sipper and mixes well i.e., cocktails. It was OK to my tastes for the price (I would rate it higher if the cost was $20-ish lower) but I *know* my tongue is not as refined as his and yours. Just a thought.
