Today's photo? A broody snapshot from 12 years ago, taken on a rainy day using a Retro Camera app on an old HTC Sensation cellphone.

On a personal note, the cancer journey continues. The problem is not cancer directly - I'm good there - but rather the damage from radiation and multiple operations. Per Tuesday's exam, my much-admired butt is not healing well. So the plan is to look again in mid-May and consult with an ass specialist to see if there is anything else that can be done short of another surgery.

Needless to say, I'm a bit downcast. But at least I got cleared to rejoin the gym (no squats though). So there's that. I can work with that.

@BobHorowitz I'm sorry things aren't healing well. Fingers crossed you won't need more surgery.
@BobHorowitz Oh man best to your butt. I concur: Radiation can be (was in my case) brutal nastiness. But hey, we’re alive.
@mtheriaultsf Thank you, Michael. And yes, while some have very few problems, in my case the pelvic radiation was indeed brutal. I'm sorry you also had to go through it.
@BobHorowitz sorry to hear this - cancer treatment can really screw things up. Glad you got the ok to go back to the gym so you can generate those dolphins ( see Annette Bening/Postcards From the Edge )
@miaexile *chuckles* I got the reference. That was a great movie.
And thanks. You are correct, times 100. The cancer was a minor problem when we caught it. The treatments stopped my life and brought me to tears.
@BobHorowitz Sorry to hear about your poor butt, Bob.
@jeridansky Thanks, Jeri. I was so convinced this was over. Ah well. I'll know more next month.
