The New York Times instructs its journalists not to use the term "Palestine" and not to refer to Hamas as "fighters" but only as "terrorists" because they targeted civilians. I have never seen this language policy applied to describe violent illegal settlers in West Bank. The #NYT simply refers to them as "settlers."
