Chilly in the #WindyCity - walking across the river from #ChicagoUnionStation to #WillisTower

Fun fact: the building, formerly known as the #SearsTowers by us old folk, is 50 years old!

The #WillisTower #Skydeck is scary!

Ramen was a very brave puppet today (and #SplendaDaddy was a very brave husband, too!).

We made it to the #ModelAircraft #FlyingClub in time for the #eclipse - hooray!

This front plane has camoflague paint & bullseyes on the wings. Is this ironic, or is it saying "shoot here, not at the pilot"?

We found a #CoveredBridge on our county drive in #Indiana. What a pretty place to chill for a while.

I found #TheBean and an honest-to-gods #bubbler !

@RamenCatholic
As a Chicagoan I apologize for the Bean being closed. As a native New Hampshirite I have to say that I thought "bubbler" was strictly New England dialect (and even in Boston you get funny looks)

@tlariv lol I guess Ramen does look pretty disappointed by that. I'm glad the park is kept in good repair!

Guess I'll just have to come back after construction is done.

@tlariv also, TIL that it's not just Wisconsin that uses the term "bubbler" for water fountains (regardless of which it actually is).

Where did the term 'bubbler' come from, and are we the only ones who say it?

If you're not from Milwaukee, you might think they're drinking fountains. But in southeast Wisconsin, they've been bubblers for nearly a century.

@RamenCatholic Great photos! I'm glad you had some fun in my hometown!

@Malleus thanks, I hope to come back soon-ish to explore more! I really enjoyed everything I saw (and ate) ... gonna have to "diet" for a little while.

Six "cheat days" in a row is a bit excessive.
