So now that Doug Ford is putting Greenbelt properties back into protected status, I suppose all the developers who bought those properties (having been tipped off that they would be removed from protected status - that was the obvious crime) are busy faking up all kinds of contracts so they can claim huge losses from the government.
So much for the Conservative government being prudent with tax dollars. Although we all know this is just propaganda and they aren't in any way.
Oh well hey look at that. His buddies who attended his daughters thingy got benefits. Didn't they bring money?
Don't worry though, Ford's housing minister says only a few were granted corruptly (my word).

There was a big release of documents proving what everybody knew, which is Doug Ford gave the land away to his buddies and they paid him for it.
"All told, the documents show exactly what one would expect after two watchdog reports on the Greenbelt scandal both found the government had given preferential treatment to a small group of developers: wealthy landowners making requests and, for the most part, political staff granting them."
“That is my number one pet peeve,” Ford replied, suggesting many Ontario students are also struggling to find domestic places and heading off to the Caribbean, Ireland and Australia to study.
Ford said he had been told that roughly 18 per cent of students at Ontario colleges and universities are international students.
“Get rid of the 18 per cent,” Ford said. “I’m not being mean, but I’m taking care of our students, our kids first.”

Doug Ford told four school boards to balance their budgets or they would be taken over. They balanced their budgets. The province took those boards over.

Doug accused those boards of financial mismanagement and ordered audits. The audits found nothing. The boards were still, as noted, taken over.
Doug, current Conservative Premier, and forner drug dealer, is destroying school boards because Conservatives hate education and don't want anybody to be educated.

Doug Ford is now interested in limiting ticket resale prices which is something his government unwound that the Liberals had introduced in 2018 I believe.
Then again we elected a former drug dealer as our premier of the province, so I don't know what we're expecting.
It's like this freedom of information issue about his cell phone. The stuff he says he can't disclose (like personal stories that people tell him) is already exempt from the legislation. But again, former drug dealer.
Doug Ford's daughter got a 33% pay raise. The average person got a kick in the teeth. There's the progressive conservatives for you. Stealing everything.
They're not quite abusing children yet, but I'm sure they'll get there.

@jmcrookston With Doug Ford now talking about building a "shock and awe" convention centre on an artificial island, I'm convinced his primary goal is to smash the system. Drain the coffers to such an extent that public healthcare and education collapses, and privitization steps in to the rescue.
I suppose there's also money and kickbacks to be made along the way. But the 401 tunnel, the spa with "tourist destination" parking garage, the fantasy island... the main thing in common is the orgiastic flinging around of billions upon billions of taxpayer funds for projects no one asked for.

This is also what it looks like when insecure guys are having an accelerated meltdown: they just go bigger and bigger and louder and more aggressive with a slightly high-pitched engine-stress note creeping into the whole proceedings.
Oh it could absolutely be more than one thing. And probably is. I'm a big fan of multiple reasons for everything :)
