Which podcatcher would you recommend?

Context: I've been using Google Podcasts on my Android phone, but that app is going away next week.
I listen to a lot of podcasts.
I do not use Spotify.

@bryanalexandee I've been a huge fan of Podcast Addict for a few years now, love the interface and tons of functionality you can toggle off and on.
@numbercrow Interface: is it powerful or easy or both?
@bryanalexandee both, powerful, easy, configurable. I don't use Reddit anymore, but the dev is there answering questions and figuring out bugs as well.
@bryanalexandee
Also been using Google Podcasts for a few years. I just deleted it after getting everything situated in Pocket Casts. I like it.
@barrydahl Pocket Casts is a good successor, then?
@bryanalexandee
I like it. Free. No Ads (AFAIK)
@bryanalexandee Migrated from Google Podcasts to AntennaPod last year and I've been happy.
@bryanalexandee I've been using PocketCasts https://pocketcasts.com/

Pocket Casts
@bryanalexandee anyone that works! As long as it downloads episodes, I cant say I use any other features (been happy with Overcast)
@bryanalexandee I'm going to try Overcast because it's one of very few Android apps that Substack will send paid Substack subscription content to. (The other is Pocket Casts.)
@margiesw Oh, that's good to know. Am thinking of adding audio to my Substack.
@bryanalexandee I just learned that Overcast isn't available on Android. Ugh. Sorry I didn't know that earlier. I'll try Pocket Cast.
