Ok, this is something about running I am wondering for a long time.

Assuming your fitness level is ok for running, let's say 4 hours (~35km) easy running. Besides running you maintain your fitness also by cross-training like cycling.

What is the minimum (average) amount of runs you should do weekly and what is the minimum weekly longest distance?

I guess what in essence I am trying to figure out is how much time on your feet (training the leg muscles and tendons) you need minimum.

@Johan_Barelds not sure about minimum, but I realized over the years that running more than 4 times a week is too much for my feet, so in the past few years I've set my maximum to 4 and do something else the other 2 days
@isazi @Johan_Barelds also dont forget that rest days after training are as important as the training itself. Your muscels will adapt and are stronger than before. See supercompensation.
And from a personal point of view: family, work, and other private life sometimes also limit the amount of running days per week.
So for me 4 days is the standard maximum for any distance.

@NerdRunner @isazi
Very true. But in this case I wont tell you about my ongoing #streak2024 which is currently at Day#88 🤣.
@Johan_Barelds @isazi streaks are not training, they are an attitude. So everything is fine 🤣
