#lax #electricvehicles can someone help me understand the point of having a 45 minute time limit on EV parking in the LONG TERM parking at LAX? This is California logic at its finest.

Quick chargers aren’t intended to stay plugging in long term to a vehicle, a standard charger is sufficient for a car that will be parked overnight or longer.

On the other hand, you may arrive at the airport with only a few miles left in the battery, or find that situation when you’re ready to leave. In that circumstance, it would be useful.

In general though, the popular places for quick chargers here in #Japan are convenience stores, highway rest stops and malls. One mall nearby me even has free standard chargers with validated mall parking.

@CAman Makes sense to me. People long term park their EV in regular slots while traveling and charge up when they return to the car. But time is limited so they don't block other people who need some electrons.
