So this morning I witnessed a speeding refused truck that nearly went over a cyclist then a Sky minivan left hooking a cyclist on #CS3. The cyclist hit the van then the deck. The driver tried to run away then was stopped down the road by a pedestrian.
I helped the victim to make sure they took full details of driver and witness. Invited the guy to go bike shop and see a doctor (tomorrow will definitely hurt).
In both cases, I also offered a witness statement if they want to report to the cop but it seems like it won't happen. (Maybe the guy that hit the deck will call later).
I appreciate that this is a shocking and brutal experience that one wants to forget but if you don't report them the bin kart driver will keep speeding until he hurts someone.
I will still report those drivers to each of their companies
I was talking about this with some colleagues today. They responded by asking if I stopped at red lights and pedestrian crossings.
