GlyphIt seems silly but mastodon’s retreat from the language of “toots” and now even “boosts” ( they’re “reblogs” in the official app now ) is exactly the same dumb-as-rocks discarding of a recognizable brand that Xitter is doing
Hbomberguy came up with “toot” and millions more people have seen his _four hour long_ monologue about plagiarism than have ever had a mastodon account, just think about that for a minute
