Sigma@nixCraft 4 cores and 12 GiB in my notebook. 6 cores, 16 GiB in my desktop.
12 GiB is too little for a lot of stuff I do. 16 GiB is fine-ish now, but it's starting to be too little as well. CPU is fine.
hugovangalen đ¤ đšī¸ đŧ@sigmasternchen I thought 16GB would be just fine for me as well, but because of the question above, I checked out the output of `free` and I notice it has a swap of 12GB so I should probably upgrade. đ
@hvangalen @nixCraft Yeah. In my case when I run two JetBrain IDEs in parallel on my laptop, the RAM is already at it's limit. And that's on Linux. On MacOS or Windows it would be even worse, because Docker needs its own dedicated memory.
