@ChrisJagged Always happy or satisfactory. I can't stand open-ended and I don't like tragic. There's enough tragedy in the world without having to read fiction about it.

@ChrisJagged I guess I'm in the minority, but while happy/satisfactory endings have their place and some books would be infuriating without that, they're also the least interesting kind of ending for me. But it also depends heavily on the type of book. I primarily read thrillers and horror, so it applies there, whereas when I'm reading a romance, I prefer a happier ending, and if I'm reading a drama, bittersweet can be good. I rarely want an open or ambiguous ending, but even those can work depending on the story.
