Introducing GNOME 46

YouTube
@gnome I freakin love GNOME. Thank you so much!

@gnome

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who worked on it 🤗 💖

@gnome Great Release! All those constant refinements really enhance the usability even further! 😀
And thanks, especially, for moving the current file actions to the sidebar. Gnome 45s version was not visible enough, so I missed, something was still going on, several times. I absolutely love Gnome and don't regret engraving the logo on the super key of my @tuxedocomputers laptop ❤️
@gnome congrats on the release!! 🎈🎉

@gnome Wohooo! Congratulations, and well done to everyone involved!

Thank you devs, thank you designers, thank you translators, thank you bug reporters, thank you QA people, thank you feature suggesters, thank you money donators, thank you evangelists, thank you documenters, thank you people working tirelessly in the background with keeping up the websites and communication channels and schedules and meetings and brewing coffee and everything else that's needed for #Gnome to be all that it is!

@gnome VRR finally landed! Can't wait to not have to keep updating mutter-vrr from the AUR to enjoy games on GNOME! GNOME's VRR implementation has been way better than KDE's in my experience using the patched mutter.

@gnome #Gnome WOO.. #Not !!

#Whut .. @gnome

..still no mouse driven, simple add a desktop App icon? till you learn this .. remain banished in the paleolithic, no deployment, till you you can demonstrate basic userland concepts . . . (without jammin' your mandatory 'efficiency' #BS work flow agenda down my neck, how the f___ do you know what I need?? You did not ask! ) .. so, its #KDE #XFCE #LXDE for me and my users.. who sometimes just ~ want~ it on the desktop.

#Seriously .. _____ off.

@erstwhile @gnome Wh🥰at a charming person you are!

@user8e8f87c @erstwhile

The @erstwhile desktop 😂

I love it when everything is beautiful, clean and tidy… damn I love my GNOME without a single desktop icon 🥰 😛

@erstwhile @gnome I disable desktop icons on everything I use, Gnome or not. They're almost always covered. Why bother? And, when I can see the full desktop, I don't want to be distracted by garish wallpaper or icons strewn here and there.

That's a matter of taste. Desktop icons are fine for people who like them. Those people might not want to use Gnome because Gnome isn't interested in making something that everyone can tweak and twist into something else.

@erstwhile @gnome I'm not a huge fan Gnome. Nevertheless a lot of people like what they're doing and they put a lot of work in to make that happen. I appreciate their efforts and we *all* benefit.

If you don't care for the decisions they make, you can let them know in a polite and constructive manner rather than a profane rant.

Your post accomplishes nothing other than to expose what a dipstick you are.

@erstwhile @gnome If you don't like GNOME, you don't have to use it.
@gnome Thank you to everyone involved for all your hard work! There's no OS that comes close to GNOME + Linux for helping me concentrate and get things done. You've created something magical that gets better and better each update.

@gnome

Congratulations on the big release! Any chance of sharing the video on #Peertube somewhere (preferably an official Gnome Peertube account)?

Either way, thanks so much for all the hard work that went into this!

@gnome the best Desktop Environment. Bar none.

@gnome quite honestly might try out gnome for the first time in years, last when I used Ubuntu. It doesn’t look bad.

“We love KDE” yes I know nik I know that you will see this bugger off.

@gnome one step closer to perfection <3
