Stand drill machine @ #DaddiesWorkshop

My father passed away last October and his workshop remained almost untouched. He spent literally years here fixing everything and I spent hours here with him when I was a kid. It's hard for me to step in here. I took my Pentax with me and took a few pictures of the last things my father touched.

My 88 year old father is slowly giving away the larger tools from his workshop. He wants them to go to a good home.
He also doesn't want to give away too much as he may need them "some day"...

@ajven That must be so difficult for you. The happy memories… they will stay with you for ever.
@tapasinthesun Thank you for your words.
@ajven I lost my dad Jan 26th, after an 8 year fight with Alzheimer's.
This is the anvil he made in his school metalwork class. It now lives on my desk.
@tmcfarlane Oh, eight years... It must have been hard. Sorry for your loss.
The anvil is very nice metal work - how big is it?
@ajven tiny (about 3" long). Dad went on to have a career in CAD, product design, mostly automotive. He could build anything though.

@ajven Those are very meaningful photographs. You'll value them even more over time.

I've often wished I'd thought to have taken more photos of the respective workbenches and tools belonging to my grandfathers.

@ajven I’m so sorry for your loss. It looks like it was a wonderful space to be in.
@aral Thank you.
Yes, it is and I haven’t opened some boxes yet. There will be probably other tools that I like to put on the film.
@ajven
Find what moves you and pass it on.
