Joel Ross: nublues
I am a sucker for the vibraphone and there are few better playing it than Ross. He just kind of *gets* it in a very fundamental way. That's very clearly the case here, a gorgeous, compelling jazz that's simultaneously traditional and progressive. One of the best jazz records released this winter (and there have been some doozies!). Enjoy!

Ella Ronen: The Girl With No Skin
I discovered this one because Sam Cohen plays on one of the tracks & I kind of love everything he does. Well, he produced the whole album and brings his good stuff to the whole record. But this Swiss songwriter also brings lots of it on her own. Lovely pieces with a nice dose of lush oomph. Fun & wonder. Enjoy!

Randal Fisher + Dexter Story: Wenge
