A few weeks ago our Labour council went back on its manifesto pledge to keep the ban on pesticides to kill street plants.
The community has started to mobilise - public meeting with #CarolineLucas MP and #PAN Pesticide Action Network đź’š

@sianberry #Glyphosate #Pesticide #Brighton

So the meeting happened, and right at the start the council person announced that because we were all so up for not being pesticided our area won’t be included in the glyphosate zone.

Because this goes against the current stated council policy, which is to zap all streets, ppl were sceptical….but hopeful of a better council policy which allows opt-outs.

Guy from #PAN #PesticideActionNetwork was great - and #CarolineLucas MP on point as ever.

Good night out tbh!
