If you let the vice-chairman of the security council present this map, we can all agree Russia has an expansionist view with regard to Ukraine. So please ignore all people saying Russia wants peace etc.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics on other forums I've seen Romanians being rather surprised about Romania's "new" borders.

Apparently they include Vinnytsia.

According to them Vinnytsia has historically never been part of Romania, has never been claimed by Romania or its predecessors, and there aren't even many speakers of Romanian living there.

So, the Romanians are scratching their heads in confusion.

(Disclaimer: I'm just parroting hear-say here, I have no clue of Romanian politics or history)

@danielaKay Only some party leaders say that: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/romanian-party-leader-encroaches-on-ukraines-land-ready-to-sacrifice-nato-seat/ar-BB1hoviH of course those are the leaders Putin wants in the empire

@chebra interesting, thank you!
@danielaKay @chebra Those seem to refer to Chernivtsi and southern Bessarabia - which make some sense as targets of Romanian Irredentism as they were Romanian between WWI and WWII. Vinnytsia is just weird.
@pfadintegral Oh I wouldn't expect any logic behind these things. They could just be expecting a yacht from Putin, so they will say whatever. Why do they believe Putin will have any yachts to spare is again weird.
