i believe i can fly

#Caturday

@yurnidiot Growing up, my family had a Siamese cat who was tormented on the regular by Blue Jays. This cat got the notion in his walnut-sized brain that if Blue Jays could fly then he could too.

He would take running leaps off the picnic table in the back yard, splay all four legs out sideways, and belly flop on the ground. Repeatedly.

@yurnidiot Qualifying for the Meowlympics!

@yurnidiot so so very cute! Looks so much like my cat Jesse James too 😻
@yurnidiot @opalmirror Impressive, but the slow-motion video shows the cat’s center of mass *way* over the last level of tape. That cat could probably eke out another level of tape if they could learn the Fosbury Flop. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fosbury_flop

@yurnidiot I like how, around the fourth strip, cat is like: oh, this isn't just you redecorating, this is a game!
@yurnidiot World Champion! πŸ‘
@yurnidiot I'm bemused that it never occurred to the cat to go under or between the lines of tape.
