I know - it was just a little joke because there are overwhelmingly more coders here than on any other platform and I know vanishingly little about it so it always makes me chuckle whenever I click on ANYONEs profile and it says "Linux... I work with computers"....
@TheBreadmonkey I may be one of the few Linux enthusiasts you'll find on here who just likes using it as an end user. :)
I can run some simple commands in the shell, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.

I don't even know what Linux is? I assume it's a Windows operating system on a Macintosh desktop PC?
@TheBreadmonkey @MikeFromLFE It is an operating system, but it's distinct from Windows or Mac, and will run on a wide variety of hardware. It also runs much of the internet, and is the OS on which both Chromebooks and Android are built.

Sorry Lance. I should explain that my default is messing around and being daft. So if I say something incongruous, assume I'm attempting to be funny. However.... I actually did NOT KNOW THAT! and think it's really interesting! Does that mean all Android devices? Am I a Linux user without even realising?

I've been using Linux for a long time, but I still forget what "LS" does in console. I couldn't code "Hello World" even with a gun to my head. I've had other users who didn't believe me when I said I've never broken my system because I was tinkering under the hood so much.
But I love *using* Linux. It's my comfort zone.
@Nezchan @MikeFromLFE @TheBreadmonkey Most of the time, there's no need to use a shell. I like to mess around there a bit, but I'm mainly in the GUI, myself. 🙂

Same here, did my research, found most user friendly one & never looked back.
Also just use & abuse the trusty Linux & copy paste in Terminal if I can find no alternative simple fix.
