Don’t think it has to be said but uh..
..no matter what, we do NOT sell our(your) user data/posts to companies for their ‘AI training’
In fact, we will do all we can to protect your content from those companies!

Honestly tho. @stux what can you as the administrator or we as consumers do to protect our data.
OpenAI was scraping 'free public data' from the web for years. There's not much stopping companies from abusing the API or bots. It's only that now corporations are charging AI companies for training data.
Could the legal system in the Netherlands or EU do something about AI companies to protect us?
@anianimalsmoe Well, we keep an eye out on the scrapers for those bots and add the rules to block them 😉
Mastodon for example has blocked the OpenAI scraper by default these days
@stux
They have almost unlimited resources, and no morals. They could just rename the scraper bot. Because money
I'm not optimistic about it.
@anianimalsmoe Oh sure but there are rules 😆 Even for those companies
You see examples like stock sites sueing OpenAI etc
Besides, every bit helps and doing nothing certainly doesn't help 😇
