@nonfedimemes there are no human beings working at Google
@a1ba @nonfedimemes plenty of human beings working at Google. No humans detected leading Google.
@a1ba @nonfedimemes So it's like that movie Fortress and all the prison guards are cyborgs with blue goo for blood?
@nonfedimemes Still mourning Hangouts 🙋

@kaybee @nonfedimemes
At least they replaced Hangouts with something similar...

*Mourns Google Wave*

@Raccoon At least Google Wave got transferred to the Apache project so it's not completely gone (https://incubator.apache.org/projects/wave.html)

*Mourns Google Reader*

Wave Incubation Status - Apache Incubator

@thm @Raccoon Apache retired the project in 2018. It's well and truly dead.
@nonfedimemes we can watch this unfold on YouTube, Google's replacement for Google Video
@resol @nonfedimemes YouTube was actually an acquisition
@astraluma @resol @nonfedimemes I love the content-warning used in this way.
@astraluma @nonfedimemes I know. Google had their own video hosting platform, but once they bought YouTube, that was what replaced it.

@starfrost @nonfedimemes
Wow! 😯
Can I download it without sending an SMS message?
@nonfedimemes ruined ; not android on the right :ablobfoxdundundunowo:
@nonfedimemes I had to download Google meet on my phone to video call my wife the other day. It used to be integrated right into the phone app, before that it was separated out by Google Duo. I'm still confused.
@Marighost @nonfedimemes google meet video calls and volte video calls are separate afaik
@nonfedimemes only one of the meet apps is secure, so clearly only one option here 🤷
@nonfedimemes this is the reason I do not and will never use Google apps. They have a habit of disappearing or becoming a morass of product names.
@JezCaudle @nonfedimemes try figuring out what license tier you need for a particular Microsoft feature.
@dragonfrog @nonfedimemes I don’t use MS stuff either unless forced to do so by a client or to support a client. I once tried to get my head around Oracle licensing - just the once. And never again.
@nonfedimemes Why not talk about it on Google Plus?
@nonfedimemes How can a company this big not fix this problem ever?
just hit me up on my iGoogle page, we can sort this all out.

@nonfedimemes so goddamn true. I'll ponder this while I listen to some podcasts in what was formerly google podcasts on youtube music, formerly youtube red, formerly google music, formerly google play music..

Can’t wait for Gemini Apps for Business
@nonfedimemes doing numbers on this one
I am seeing at least 20 promotions in this screenshot.
@nonfedimemes the microsoftization is so strong
Absolutely cackling, honestly I might save these screenshots so that when I forget what the current fucking names of these things are, I have a reference
@nonfedimemes I don’t think this meme is fair. Everyone knows product renaming is an invaluable business strategy to innovation and growth.
Reminder that Google Allo launched a little over a month after they launched Google Duo.
Microsoft Re-Designs the iPod Packaging

YouTube
This is straight up hilarious!!
@nonfedimemes I never got embroiled enough in the Google ecosystem to encounter this mess 😆
It’s crazy how little they care for their branding. I don’t even try to remember or even know their latest product changes, I just got tired with them.
