@lea I think something important for the growth of the Linux desktop would be greater integration of advanced actions through middleware apps or through a de.

For example, adding a secondary drive through fstab is pretty confusing for a beginner even if they use gnome disks.

A good example of useful middle software are projects like boxbuddy and prompt(ptyxis) since they're able to allow users that aren't very comfortable with the cli to still use distrobox/toolbx in an intuitive manner.

@lea also better integration with hardware within desktop environments like what Ubuntu is doing with tpm backed fde or if a program like howdy(windows hello alternative) was integrated with a DE
