Good morning folks

> The Otomo pointed out to the Emperor that it would be easier to record their events and tax peasants if they were a separate minor clan, so the sensei was given lands and the title of a minor clan.

Fuckin' 'plz let us be a minor clan for tax purposes' in #L5R

Figured I'd try some #Infinifactory.

The Epic store item has zero info.

It, uh, is not a top-down factory/conveyor game as I thought it might be

'I am in control of my dream'

Yeah, uh... saw that comin'

What I DIDN'T see coming, is the 'left door or right door', and you get the left door, and as you walk down the corridor, you see the right door just... vents to fuckin' space.
Ah, big, q2 style blocky head aliens.
OBSCENELY INTENSE

Whateverfuck this means.

I thought it was 'put the two on conveyors next to each other, but... no.

Alright, I don't mind that you need to fuss with timing of stuff, etc.

They took a dog/cat?

Bastards.

Luna did NOT like me playing that failure log
Neat puzzle, Ok, but also, fuck you #Infinifactory

They gave me a trophy and some pellets?

Fucking... fine.

Reading about Spider clan in #L5R, and... narratively, they're quite a mistake.

Hrm.

More fortnite, or work on the porn browser.

Brain's a bit mushy at the moment.

Just muddling through more UI quality of life stuff.

If you have a specific image you're looking at, pressing escape goes back to the gallery, etc.

Alexis Texas was Buttwoman in 2008. In 2012, Jada Stevens was Buttwoman. Kelly Divine and Brianna Love have also both been Buttwoman.

Clearly, Elegant Angel was running a Cinematic Universe long before the MCU. In this essay, I w-

Holy shit, Elegant Angel actually did a movie called 'Buttwoman Battles', so they kinda did?
Tianna was also Buttwoman, but I don't think I've heard much of her. There was a Tianna Hunter, who posed for Bare Maidens, but that doesn't seem like the same lass.

Actually, if we're gonna run this joke into the ground, there was Rainwoman, much earlier - including 'Rainwoman Camp' and something like at least 15 titles.

There you go, that's a proper cinematic universe.

Honestly, if I had a wikipedia login, I'd slide that into the entry about Cinematic universes, heh.
Finally caving to peer pressure and installing some fucking version control
*grumbles profusely*
This is stupid and I hate it, and I'm just not going to do it.

'You must set an email'

You must go FUCK YOURSELF

No, no, no, you don't understand, just because it's YOUR files on YOUR local hard drive, *insists on an email for some bullshit unknown reason*

How fucking hard is it to say 'take these fucking files, and hang onto them'?

Apparently, it's fucking bullshit.

Kale: here's a spot for a repo
Git: right, got it, cool, I've put my files in here
Kale: cool, now, take THESE files
Git: hahaha, I'm just gonna not do that

*tries to uninstall something*
*steam opens with adverts*

FFS, I hate the current tech/games environment

Haven't been out of the house for a while, so I figure I can throw a few bucks at rando musicians on bandcamp (it was Bandcamp Friday yesterday, and I did that then, but today, I figure I can buy some more shit)

Spotify just rampantly shitting me with its UI junk, Youtube with ads (and it's a video platform, it shouldn't be used for tunes, really, let's be honest)

I know Bandcamp's in weird ground with it being the latest 'X has been bought by Y', but I'm gonna grab the mp3s and scarper anyway

@DarkestKale I loathe git
@ThreeOhFour I told it to fuck off and used SVN
@DarkestKale @ThreeOhFour A much more straightforward option for sure.

@DarkestKale Git, eh?

Email is necessary, I suspect, for historic reasons - because the whole damned thing was written for versioning Linux, which still functions by having a local repo and emailing your pull requests to other folk.

And if you didn't have an email address, Linus wouldn't know where to chuck an old fashioned tanty at a mistake

@lachlan I fucked it all off and tried TortoiseSVN, which I learned back in 2007/8 for final year project

Had it running in... 10 mins, or less?

Git is just obtuse bullshit

@DarkestKale It's really good obtuse bullshit... once you've got your head into its very specific space. But, it's a real mind shift, and it's not for every use case. It's very opinionated about how you're going to work with it.
I just can't get away from how much I love my repo being completely independent, and extremely light branching. But, I've also tailored my workflow for like 7 years to optimise for it.

@lachlan All I want is:
* X is my work directory, don't fuck with it
* Z is where I want you to store your bullshit
* Let me send stuff from X to Z with a note
* Let me pull stuff back from Z when shit gets bad

That's it.

But somehow, Git is just a deep cesspool of interlocking systems for stuff I don't need/want

@DarkestKale (Fun fact: Linus claims he named it after himself. Read into that what you will.)
