Haven't you heard? The rich just need "a little more"
@Savvyhomestead and with still that much profit, they wouldn’t have to raise prices, but they likely would.
@Savvyhomestead Yes....it's really NOTHING BUT TOPSY TURVY!
@Savvyhomestead To think there is a saying: "The rich also cry". Cry with laughter at all the gullible poor people who vote in the wealthy people's candidates.
@Savvyhomestead By profits do you mean after expenses? If so, imagine what a simple 10% simple flat tax on profit would do for the entire country.
@Savvyhomestead tips from people who are being gouged by all the above companies #AxTheRich #NotATypo
@Savvyhomestead > sort of reminds me of the ones ( I used to too) that can't get enough. They buy and soon again that empty feeling, never getting the inclination ( or make the opportunity) to give back. They go buy more, and the cycle just repeats itself, substitute my example with money and the same scenario... sad ☹️

@Savvyhomestead

Note this is PROFIT, not total income…

This is what’s left after they take deductions for every penny paid to employees, contractors, outside service companies, every penny spent on research and development, equipment, tools, rent, utilities, lobbying costs…..

That’s all deductible and this is what’s left…

@Savvyhomestead Everyone is crying about the rich. Dont buy starcucks coffee if you dont like how they spend their money. What is it matter with yall?
@olamesa @Savvyhomestead I agree - as polish citizen - capitalism is far better than socialism. If you ever meet a person who lived in socialism and capitalism they will never tell you that socialism was better.
@anonimowy @Savvyhomestead Absolutley. I love the polish people here in Chicago, because they have felt communism. Thats why they came here to make something out of themselves and to make money and keep their money. Socialism, communism are no good.
@olamesa @Savvyhomestead Exactly! The best way seems to be something in the middle - let's call it controlled capitalism 😅
However a few more taxes for the billionaires and huge corporations could be a good idea - but with moderation and deep analysis.
@anonimowy @Savvyhomestead I am not entirelly sure what the best solution is. The best solution is HEALTH. Be healthy if you a re healthy mentally and physically than the world is yours regardless of the politics.
@Savvyhomestead For 🇪🇺 - the author meant american raise. $11 000 yearly - not monthly
@Savvyhomestead Wait. Verizon has a market cap of 162billion total - but made 78billion in profit last year alone?
That's wild. Also tax the shit out of all these companies. Reverse the Regan policies. Put the profits back into the employees and innovation (also tax like mad)
@Savvyhomestead I’d suggest the fault lies in CEO pay structure, based as it is on corporate profit. A 100x or 50x lowest employee maximum-wage law would benefit us all.
@David211 @Savvyhomestead CEOs don’t make anywhere near those numbers and they are only one employee. Yes, CEO pay is outrageous and needs to be fixed, but no, that is not the primary issue.
@2du @Savvyhomestead since you know it isn’t results-based CEO pay that drives corporations to keep employee costs as low as possible, you must know what it is and I’d love to know too.
@David211 @Savvyhomestead results-based is the kicker, right? I also think the fiduciary duty to shareholders for profit maximization is probably the biggest issue with the system currently.
@Savvyhomestead god these numbers make the message look so dumb. It’s a great message. But please don’t post something with such baseless numbers
@Savvyhomestead disgusting greed! the drain on the masses continues! also when do they decide to lower prices back from gouging levels? hmm. great info! thanks!

@Savvyhomestead

Taxes paid by all those corps: Buck Twenty Five (combined)

@Savvyhomestead funny how you can post a complete lie with imaginery numbers that can be checked with open data in 1 minute and still stir so much emotions.
