Er enthält in griechischer Sprache die älteste, vollst. erhaltene Abschrift des NT und die Hälfte des AT (Septuaginta). Besonders für die Geschichte der Bibel und des Buches machen ihn auch die vielen vorhandenen Anmerkungen von Schreibern u. Korrektoren.
