I want a president who commands the public forum and talks with fire and passion. I don't want a weak, soft spoken grandfather who can't bring the presence of presidency to the podium. Biden should withdraw and give younger candidates opportunity to bring democrats together and to the polls. Biden isn't doing it.

@randahl Yes. He comes across as an angry grandfather. He doesn't excite democrats of all ages. He doesn't excite democratic voters. People see his history and his record. He doesn't fight for issues. He talks negotiation, compromise and bipartisanship. His criticism of republicans isn't meaningful when we see him praise them. Democrats need a Teddy Roosevelt. We have Biden. Just my opinion.
@wsrphoto I agree. I too was surprised they did not use this election period to move a new candidate into position. For instance, I think Jamie Raskin with AOC as Vice President would have killed it.
But I think, this is a strategic decision based on the fact, that A LOT of voters just do not want to rock the boat, and you get a lot of these voters onboard, simply by keeping your current president as a candidate.
Also, while Biden maybe not appeal to voters of all ages, neither does Trump.
@randahl Biden started early to control primary election process to eliminate competition citing he's the only candidate who will beat Trump. It's his fear competition from younger candidates would keep him from winning nomination as voters would select better, younger candidates, such as OH senator Brown, VP Harris, CA governor Newsom, others. I would love it. Time for generational change. No more over 65 politicians. Biden should pull a LBJ.
