I have been pretty quiet here because I have been busy, but now I have something to announce. I built another app. It’s called #Flyleaf and it’s a β€žread later" app for iPhone, iPad and macOS.

The app is currently in open beta and I would love for you to check it out and give me feedback! You can learn more on my website at https://moehrenzahn.de/project/flyleaf/

I don't really currently have a foot in the #indiedev community here on Mastodon, so your boosts are highly appreciated!
Alright, that was fun. Thanks for all the boosts and kind words about #Flyleaf, it means a lot to me! I'm now going to bed. But before, I'm going to raise the #Testflight tester limit. I did not expect that that would be neccessary any time soon πŸ˜…. So if you didn't get in before, please try again now!

πŸš€ I just pushed a new #Flyleaf beta to Testflight. This new build adds basic support for the Shortcuts app, so you can add, fetch, and modify articles. I guess I did it just so @viticci would take note πŸ‘‹

If you haven’t yet, you can join the public beta here:

@maxmelzer It does not support any RSS feed syncing services like Feedly, right? It would be a really cool alternative to NNW when reading long articles.

@SherlockHans Thanks for the boost, it's highly appreciated ❀️! You assume correctly, and I totally get your point. I don't currently see Flyleaf as a replacement for an RSS reader, but a companion. I currently use Reeder by @rizzi to triage articles and send everything interesting to Flyleaf via the share sheet.

Some kind of RSS-based inbox could be in the future, but it's certainly not a 1.0 thing.

@maxmelzer lovely idea, just joined the TestFlight, boosted, and followed to stay up to date with the development πŸ˜ŠπŸ™Œ
@philipp Awesome, welcome to the beta club. Looking forward to your feedback!
@maxmelzer Neat idea! I'm a heavy GoodLinks user but love pagination for reading. I'll definitely keep an eye on this as it develops!
@buffaloseven Thanks! Of course I hope to convince you to switch 😎. You should already be able to import your entire GoodLinks archive into Flyleaf through the settings. (It would actually be very interesting to me if that works smoothly in the real world!)
@maxmelzer Gave it a try and it seems to work! You can export your data in GoodLinks on iOS using Settings > Advanced > Export Data.
@maxmelzer Boosted and joined, btw love the app icon!
@gxgyang Thanks for your support, it means a lot!
