I'm probably going to be posting regular updates about my recovery from my stoma reversal surgery (reversal of Hartmann's procedure / proctosigmoidectomy) for a while, but I'll keep it all behind content warnings.

Please do ask me anything whatsoever about it, whether you have a stoma or not šŸ’–

@SleepyCatten is this a positive step for you? I know that reversals usually are, but not always.

@amaditalks Entirely positive 🄰

I had to get a stoma installed in an emergency surgery in September 2022 to save my life, but it introduced a constant worry and complication to my life (i.e., always needing stoma supplies; needing accessible toilets when out).

Getting it reversed means a return to full function once I'm fully recovered from the reversal surgery 🄰

@SleepyCatten that sounds wonderful. I’m so happy this is possible for you!
@SleepyCatten
I wanna ask for all the nitty-gritty details, but I don't want to spoil it for when I need one. Life should have its surprises.
