Really happy with this! 💪🏻

7 more books than last year, though admittedly a handful were very *very* short.

My favorites:

• Elder Race by Adrian Tchaikovsky, recommended by @jsnell IIRC
• The Nova Incident by @dmoren

Runners-up:

• The entire Jericho Quinn series
• Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
• Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

I also *just* finished All Souls Lost, also by @dmoren, and I really enjoyed it too. It was weird as shit, and way outside what I'd normally read, but both of those qualities were incredibly endearing. It was also quietly very, very nerdy. Definitely give it a read!

@caseyliss @dmoren I just finished it yesterday as well!

Dan did a good job of blending some Dresden Files with a heavy dose of Phillip Marlowe and a dash of Spenser for Hire.

But my favorite part (which Spenser shares) is highlighting all those familiar Boston locations!

@caseyliss @dmoren dust jacket quote right there:

“Weird as shit” says Casey Liss

Honestly, it’s just adding to the growing pile of evidence that I should go buy & read All Souls Lost 😁

@billvinson @caseyliss I can add it to my blurb page. But yes, go forth and buy! 😄

@dmoren @caseyliss Yep, I’ve taken the universe's message & picked up a copy on Kindle.

Just getting started on the read, but looking forward to seeing where it goes!

@caseyliss Recommend Chris Harris - Variable Valve Timings for the new year

@caseyliss @jsnell @dmoren

Way to go! I just love knowing that there are other people who do indeed read books.

I rely on the Incomparable Hugo/Nebula episodes for my new SFF recommendations and they haven’t done me wrong.

I finished up my 72nd book for the year yesterday and don’t think I’ll get through another one today.

(Site looks kinda shitty on mobile, still a WIP)

Books I’ve read The Bookshelf

@caseyliss loved both Lessons in Chemistry & Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow as well 🙌🏻

@caseyliss @jsnell @dmoren

If you like Adrian Tchaikovsky, have you read his Children of Time series? They are amazing.

@caseyliss @jsnell @dmoren A friend recommended Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture series to me this year and I loved it. Recommended, if you haven't read it yet. Shards of Earth is the first book. 📚
@caseyliss another happy Elder Race reader!

@jsnell @caseyliss

Such a great book! And such small portions!

@jsnell @caseyliss count me in this list also. Thanks!
@jsnell @caseyliss also my favorite book this year thanks to recommendation on @incomparable
@jsnell @caseyliss All of the AT novellas are a joy to read. The Expert System’s Brother had my head spinning for days
@jsnell @caseyliss And “One Day All This Will Be Yours” is my favorite weird romance
@caseyliss I like to look at average page length, usually evens out

@caseyliss This is excellent! Too many people don’t read at all and it’s a damn tragedy.

Please don’t think I’m trying to devalue your achievement, I’m just sharing the excitement with you.

@curtisbridges Holy fucknuggets that's alotta books
@curtisbridges @caseyliss How do you track these for these statistics?
@dominiklawetzky @caseyliss This is from Goodreads. Goodreads has some limited integration with Kindle.
@curtisbridges @caseyliss as long as we are comparing 😜
@jonathantrott you absolutely destroyed my reading rate this year but at least my streak remains undefeated.
@curtisbridges that’s a very impressive streak 😀
@caseyliss Do Lego instruction manuals count? Asking for a friend 😬
@caseyliss 💡Coretex style ATP book review member specials?
@melonamin no way I’ll get the other two on board 🙃

@caseyliss 😭 so many books to get into a fight about…

Anyway, I stole a couple of books from your top for my reading list.

@caseyliss Holy smokes. Nicely done.
@caseyliss Nice! (Apologies for edit. Saw reply later!)
@caseyliss You’re one ahead of me 😟. 👍🏻
@caseyliss Pardon my ignorance, but is this an app, Apple Books or something else? I’ve finished 24 but didn’t think to track them like this.
@caseyliss the last two years I’ve promised myself I’d read more but failed. How do you find the time?
@stephenbrannen de-prioritizing other shit.
