Texty the Bard@hensley @georgetakei Because we do that all the damn time with things that are dangerous. We license drivers, and require special training for drivers of large or complicated vehicles. We don't allow civilians to have Howitzers. We restrict the purchase of bomb-making materials.
No one needs the ability to kill dozens of people in seconds unless they're a soldier in an active war zone. And frankly, anyone who thinks they do need that is pretty clearly someone who shouldn't have it.

Crazy people are just crazy people. But when you think it's a good idea to enable them by handing out guns like candy you become the problem.
Just like in life where there are always sociopaths and psychopaths, they can't help it. But if you vote to put them in charge you're the problem.

LevkaDisabled elder here. The troubles that come from gun culture are *far* outweighed by the benefits. Guns make us equal. Without guns, the old, the weak, the small and the disabled are at the mercy of the the young, the strong, the big and the able-bodied.
These are the deranged, mouth foaming maniacs who intend to kill us in #CivilWar2. They're why I will *never* disarm.
